Body
Men and women who struggle with body image issues after weight loss, pregnancy, or other health matters may consider certain procedures to address areas that make them self-conscious. These can include removing fat cells, transferring fat cells to and from specific sections of your body, and the removal of excess fat and skin from your arms, legs, and abdomen. After determining the treatment option that is right for you, we are with you every step of the way to help you get as close as possible to achieving your ideal body image.
Liposuction (Tumescent)
Liposuction, the removal of fat from under the skin, can be performed on multiple areas of the body. With tumescent liposuction, an anesthetic is injected into the area being treated. The tissue in the area swells and becomes more firm, allowing for better control during the procedure. A liposuction canula (a hollow tube) is moved back and forth under the skin using suction to remove deposits of fat cells. This approach enables better contouring of the area being treated.
Tummy Tuck
After multiple pregnancies or weight loss, the abdomen can sag when muscles and skin lose their elasticity. A tummy tuck, also called an abdominoplasty, firms up the stomach area by removing extra fat and skin and tightening muscles in your abdominal wall. After the muscles are repositioned and tightened, the excess skin is stretched and removed to give a more flattened appearance to the abdominal area.
Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss
After significant weight loss, the skin is often lacking the elasticity needed to adjust to the new size of the body. This results in extra skin that can sag from your arms, abdominal area and legs. Through body contouring, excess skin and fat can be removed to achieve a smoother appearance.
Fat Transfer
This technique can be used in both the reconstructive and cosmetic procedures to change the appearance of the body. Fat is removed from one region of the body and transplanted to another to add volume and smooth skin, reduce wrinkles, augment soft tissues in the face and body, and treat areas that have been injured by trauma, cancer, or surgery. This technique is minimally invasive but may require multiple treatments.
